Democratic lieutenant-governor nominee Dave Muhlbauer toured the DMACC Dallas County Farm near Adel on Sept. 4 with agribusiness students. In remarks reported Sept. 5, he praised the program’s mix of livestock, row crops, cover crops, conservation and equipment training and said Iowa will need that kind of innovation to develop markets, retain young farmers and give them tools to succeed.
What the underlying record shows: DMACC describes the Dallas County Farm as a hands-on agribusiness teaching site with crop ground, cow/calf and swine operations and instruction tied to current agricultural practice.
